Hi-Tec British Open 1988

The Hi-Tec British Open in 1988 were from 11 to 18 April 1988, in the London district of Wembley in the UK instead. The venue was the Wembley Conference Center . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 1987/88 and belonged to the PSA Super Series Silver category . The prize money was $ 78,000. The women's squash tournament was part of the WSA Tour 1987/88 .

As in previous years, the defending champion for the men was Jahangir Khan . Khan defended his title for the seventh time in a row, defeating Rodney Martin 9-2, 9:10, 9-0 and 9-1 in the final . In the women’s category, Susan Devoy secured her fifth title in a row. She defeated Liz Irving in the final 9: 7, 9: 5 and 9: 1.

The participant fields consisted of 32 players each, eight of which were reserved for qualifiers. The best 16 players were seeded.
