Fallhaus is a former district and now a residential area in the town of Windsbach in the Ansbach district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The place is located in a southwestern extension of today's urban area, on Mitteleschenbacher Straße between Kellerberg and Galgenberg. The Seeleingraben rises south of it, a right tributary of the Franconian Rezat .

history

Fallhaus is mentioned in two documents as "Fellaren" and "Floskaren" as early as the 12th century. The fall house served as a covering shop in which the deceased (fallen) cattle were used.

Towards the end of the 18th century, the Fallhaus belonged to Windsbach. It had the Brandenburg-Ansbach Kastenamt Windsbach as the landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, the Fallhaus received the number 152a of the city of Windsbach when the house numbers were assigned.

As part of the municipal edict, Fallhaus was assigned to the Windsbach tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the municipality of Windsbach, founded in 1810 . After 1885 the place is no longer run as an independent district.
