The Hohbuck ( 452  m above sea level ) is 1.5 kilometers to the northeast . To the northwest lie the Kohlgrubhölzer , northeast the Bischofwald and southeast the Lehmäcker .

A community road leads to Triebendorf to the district road AN 17 (2.3 km west) or to Lanzendorf (0.8 km south-east). Another communal road leads via Winterhof to Bertholdsdorf also to AN 17 (1.5 km south) or to Gaulnhofen (2.1 km north).

history

The place was first mentioned in a document around 1200 as "Kuzschendorf". According to E. Fechter, the defining word of the place name is the Slavic personal name “Chotesice” in the Germanized form “Kütscho”. K. Dunz suspects a derivation from pebbles or from kitten (a source area). In 1367 it is mentioned as "Kuzschendorff", in 1412 as "Kutschendorf", 1531 as "Kutzschendorff" and 1616 as "Kütschendorff".

Originally the place consisted of two courtyards, from which the later properties emerged. Around 1350 the Burgraviate of Nuremberg and the Nuremberg citizen Hermann Rosenhart were landowners in the place. In 1375 Hermann Rosenhart sold his property to the Schwabach hospital . In 1529, the Hergersbach main team in the imperial city of Nuremberg was subject to a subject family in the village.

In the 16-point report of the Windsbach Regional Office from 1608, 5 teams are listed for Kitschendorf: 1 yard and 3 goods belonged to the Schwabach hospital and 1 yard to the imperial city of Nuremberg . There was also a communal shepherd's house. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste and city bailiff's office in Windsbach .

In the official description of the Lichtenau nursing office from 1748, six subject families are specified for the place, one of which was subordinate to the nursing office and five other landlords.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 6 properties and a community shepherd's house in Kitschendorf. The High Court further exercised the box and Stadtvogtei Office Windsbach, the village and township government had the box office Schwabach held. The landlords were the Principality of Ansbach (Kastenamt Schwabach: 1 house; Schwabach Hospital Foundation : 1 courtyard, 2 estates, 1 estate) and the St. Klara Monastery Office of the Imperial City of Nuremberg (1 courtyard). From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the Justice and Chamber Office Windsbach .

As part of the community edict, Kitschendorf was assigned to the Bertholdsdorf tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Bertholdsdorf, founded in 1810 .

In 1967 the villagers built a fire station with a bell.

On May 1, 1978 Kitschendorf was incorporated into Windsbach as part of the regional reform .
