In the Oberamtsbeschreibung of the Principality of Ansbach by Johann Georg Vetter from 1732, the place is described as follows:

“Rezendorf, Weyler, 2 farms to Windsbach, one of them Zednitz, then Lentersheim 1621. Eva Seckendorff has two rear seats from her brother von Zedwitz, one in Untereschenbach, the other in Rezendorf, Hütlein and a pond. Then a Stiftgütlein to Windspach, one to Schwabach, a German Lord Order, four Nuremberg Alms Rights, a Nuremberg Landpflegerstift, a nobleman from Crailsheim. "

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 12 properties and a community shepherd's house in Retzendorf. The high court and the village and community rulership continued to be exercised by the caste and city bailiff's office in Windsbach. The landlords were the Principality of Ansbach (Kastenamt Windsbach: 2 estates, 1 estate; Spitalstiftung Schwabach: 1 courtyard, 1 half courtyard), the Imperial City of Nuremberg ( Nursing Department Lichtenau : 1 estate; Landesalmosenamt: 2 courtyards, 2 estates), the Teutonic Order Coming Nuremberg (1 courtyard ) and the manor Sommersdorf of the Lords of Crailsheim (1 Gütlein). A little later, Wolfsau submitted a request to form a separate community with the Hölzleinsmühle . However, this was not approved.
