Moosbach (colloquially: Mūschba ) is a district of the town of Windsbach in the Ansbach district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The Schwalbenbach, a left tributary of the Franconian Rezat, flows through the village . Approx. 0.5 km north is the Asig corridor , about 0.75 km east the Schwalbleiten .

The district road AN 15 leads via Fohlenhof to Windsbach to state road 2223 (1 km southeast) or to Brunn (2 km west). The district road AN 28 , which branches off from the AN 15, leads to Suddersdorf (2.1 km north). A communal road leads to State Road 2410 (2 km northeast).

The so-called Wine Route from Moosbach towards Reuth was named because the funeral procession once moved to the church there.

history

In 1249 "Mosbach" was mentioned for the first time in a deed confirming that the Heilsbronn monastery had acquired an estate there. The place name is derived from a water body of the same name (now called Schwalbenbach), the defining word of which is moss, which at that time meant bog, swamp. By the beginning of the 16th century, the monastery acquired three more farms in addition to land and wood.

In eichstättischen Salbuch , which was created in 1300, only a desolate place to be for the Hube and another subject lists which were subject to the Bishopric of Eichstätt. In 1529, 4 subject families were subordinate to the Hergersbach main team in the imperial city of Nuremberg .

In the 16-point report of the Oberamt Windsbach from 1608, 12 teams are listed for Moosbach: 1 farm belonged to the parish Windsbach , 2 farms and 2 estates belonged to the Heilsbronn monastery administration , 1 farm and 2 estates belonged to the Abenberg caste office in Eichstatt and 4 courtyards from the imperial city Nuremberg . There was also a communal shepherd's house. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste and city bailiff's office in Windsbach . According to the 16-point report of the Heilsbronn Monastery Office, also from 1608, the 4 Heilsbronn properties are classified as 3 courtyards and 1 Köblergut .

During the Thirty Years' War Moosbach was largely destroyed. Of the four courtyards that belonged to the monastery, three burned down. Even 19 years after the war, the whole place was still deserted. In the Eichstätter Salbuch of 1671, 8 subject families are again recorded for Moosbach, 2 of which were subordinate to the Abenberg caste office, 3 to the Heilsbronn monastery administration office and 3 to the imperial city of Nuremberg.

In the official description of the Lichtenau Nursing Office from 1748, 15 subject families are specified for the place, 4 of which were subordinate to the Hergersbach Main Team of the Lichtenau Nursing Office and 11 other landlords.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 20 properties and a community shepherd's house in Moosbach. The high court and the village and community rulership continued to be exercised by the caste and city bailiff's office in Windsbach. The landlords were the Principality of Ansbach (11 properties; Kastenamt Windsbach : 1 tavern, 2 empty houses , 2 half houses; Heilsbronn monastery administration office: 3 half yards, 2 estates; City parish Windsbach: 1 Widdumshof ), the Nuremberg St. Klara cloister office (4 half yards), the box office Abenberg (2 half yards, 1 estate) and the Nuremberg owner von Holzschuher (1 yard, 1 half yard). From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the Justice and Chamber Office Windsbach . The number of properties remained unchanged.

In 1806 Moosbach came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the community edict, Moosbach was assigned to the Mitteleschenbach tax district, formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Mitteleschenbach, founded in 1810 . With the second community edict (1818) Moosbach broke away from Mitteleschenbach and formed a rural community. It was subject to the Heilsbronn Regional Court in administration and jurisdiction and the Windsbach Rent Office in the financial administration . From 1862 to 1879 Moosbach was administered by the Heilsbronn District Office , since 1880 by the Ansbach District Office (renamed the Ansbach District in 1938 ) and the Heilsbronn Rent Office (1920–1929: Heilsbronn Tax Office , from 1929: Ansbach Tax Office ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Heilsbronn until 1879, 1880–1956 district court Heilsbronn , since 1956 district court Ansbach . The municipality had an area of 3,973 km². In the course of the regional reform , Moosbach was incorporated into Windsbach on January 1, 1972.
