Reuth (colloquially: Raid ) is a district of the Neuendettelsau community in the Ansbach district in Middle Franconia .

geography

Immediately north of the church village flows the Watzendorfer Bach, a right tributary of the Aurach , about 0.75 km south of the Schwalbenbach, a left tributary of the Franconian Rezat . The place is surrounded by the corridors Am Reuther Weg (north), Sahrgrund (east) and Hinteres Feld (south). In the south there is also the forest area Birket . State road 2410 runs through the village and leads to Windsbach (3 km south) or to junction 54 of the A 6 (3 km north-west). The district road AN 19 connects the place with Neuendettelsau (2.1 km to the west). A community road leads to Watzendorf (1.7 km east).

history

The settlement has been known as "Gerute" since 1213 (1259 as "Ruth", 1304 as "Reut"). As the name suggests, it is a settlement that was built on land that was cleared by fire.

In 1213, at the time of the fifth abbot Albertus , the Heilsbronn monastery bought a court from Friedrich von Haslach . In 1254 the monastery exchanged goods in Michelbach, Grub and Baldingen and in return received probably Oettingian goods in Reuth. Further acquisitions came from the Counts of Truhendingen . In 1402 all eight estates existing at that time were Heilsbronnian.

In the 16-point report of the Oberamt Windsbach from 1608 9 teams are listed for Reuth: the 5 farmers and 4 Köbler had the monastery administrator in Heilsbronn as landlord . There was also a communal shepherd's house. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste and city bailiff's office in Windsbach . During the Thirty Years' War the church was burned down and all courtyards were already deserted in 1636. After religious refugees from Austria had found a new home there from 1658, the church was rebuilt from 1669. It was not until 1687 that all goods could be occupied again.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 11 properties in Reuth (2 courtyards, 5 half courtyards, 2 estates, 2 estates). The high court exercised the caste and city bailiff's office in Windsbach, the village and community rule and land lordship over all properties was held by the Heilsbronn monastery administration office. In addition to the households, there was the shepherd's house as a communal building and the parish as a church building. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the Justice and Chamber Office Windsbach .

As part of the community edict, Reuth was assigned to the Aich tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Aich, founded in 1810 . With the second community edict (1818), Reuth was re-incorporated into the newly formed rural community of Haag . In the course of the regional reform this was incorporated into Neuendettelsau on January 1, 1972.

religion

Originally the residents were parish to St. Maria (Großhaslach) . In 1473 St. Kunigund (Reuth) was raised to a parish and separated from the mother church with the surrounding villages. As early as the first half of the 16th century - in 1545 at the latest - St. Kunigund became a branch of St. Michael (Weißenbronn) . In 1848 it was repared to St. Nikolai (Neuendettelsau) , whose branch it is to this day. The residents of the Roman Catholic denomination are parish according to St. Franziskus (Neuendettelsau) .

Remarks

  • The distance information corresponds to the beeline between the respective geographic objects. They do not give the route .
  • A detailed list of the responsible judicial and administrative authorities can be found in the article of the (former) municipality responsible for the district.
  • The guidelines of the statistical surveys were changed several times during the period shown, which is why the information on population development - number of inhabitants and number of houses - does not count the same depending on the point in time. For more information, see the official regional directories for Bavaria .
