Mausendorf is a district of the Neuendettelsau community in the Ansbach district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village is east of the Hirtenbuck ( 429  m above sea level ). In the local area, some source rivers come into the Aurach on the left . A community road leads to state road 2410 near Aich (0.9 km west) or to district road AN 17 near Weißenbronn (1.7 km north-east). A residential path runs to the Mausenmühle (0.8 km southeast).

history

In 1255 the place was first mentioned in a document as the "Muselteorf". The place name contains the Slavic personal name "Mûzl" as a defining word. Since surrounding places ( Gottmannsdorf , Kettersbach , Kitschendorf , Nemsdorf , Triebendorf ) contain Slavic personal names and the shape of the place is reminiscent of a Slavic Rundling, one should think of a Slavic settlement wave that took place in this area after 850.

In 1253 the Heilsbronn Monastery was donated to the Mausenmühle (see Mausenmühle # history ).

In 1255 Gertraud, the wife of the knight Supplinus vom Stein , leased her predium to Muselteorf to the tenth Abbot Otto. In a document made out by the Nuremberg City Court, it determined the following: “The monastery should give me 4 pounds of Heller and 12 Simra Korn and Haber annually for the rest of my life . If my husband survives me, he should refer to 40 talenta denariorum. If he dies before me, I should be free to give that amount to whoever I want. ”After the death of her husband, Gertraud vom Stein presented Abbot Rudolf and his monastery with this praise for their salvation and an annual memorial service on the anniversary of their death. This donation was not recognized by her relatives. This resulted in a lengthy process at the imperial district court, in which the monastery achieved a favorable comparison. In 1335 a shoemaker named Heinrich Pestlin from Mausendorf donated his goods to the monastery. There were eight properties in total, including a mill.

In 1581 five of the eight monastery subjects lost their houses and barns in a fire. A total of 11 buildings burned down. Two of the injured could not rebuild because of excessive indebtedness, so that these goods fell back on the monastery. For a long time the monastery had difficulties in finding buyers for these goods. In 1594, for example, it was reported: "Burned to ashes, and no one still desires to run and rebuild."

In the 16-point report of the Oberamt Windsbach from 1608, 8 teams are listed for Mausendorf: the 3 farmers and 5 Köbler were all subordinate to the Heilsbronn monastery administration . There was also a communal shepherd's house. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste and city bailiff's office in Windsbach .

During the Thirty Years War the village fell into disrepair. Four years after the war it was difficult to get the largest farm with 68 acres of arable land and 6 days' work of meadows for 30 kreuzers to one gulden per acre and the mill for 50 gulden. As recently as 1721, the official report read: "Mausendorf is the worst place in the district, and there are no buyers for the goods for sale in it."

Towards the end of the 18th century, Mausendorf and the Mausenmühle formed a community with 13 properties (1 courtyard, 3 half-courtyards, 1 estate, 6 small estates, 1 mill and 1 shepherd's house). The high court was exercised by the caste and municipal bailiff's office in Windsbach. The monastery administration office in Heilsbronn held the village and community rulership and land lordship over all properties. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the Justice and Chamber Office Windsbach .

As part of the municipal edict, Mausendorf was assigned to the Aich tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Aich, founded in 1810 . In the course of the regional reform this was incorporated into Neuendettelsau on January 1, 1972.

Remarks

  • The distance information corresponds to the beeline between the respective geographic objects. They do not give the route .
  • A detailed list of the responsible judicial and administrative authorities can be found in the article of the (former) municipality responsible for the district.
  • The guidelines of the statistical surveys were changed several times during the period shown, which is why the information on population development - number of inhabitants and number of houses - does not count the same depending on the point in time. For more information, see the official regional directories for Bavaria .
