history

The place was first mentioned in a purchase letter in 1259 as "Geseze", in 1402 the name was "Geyssenhoff". From this one can conclude that goats were originally kept on the farm .

Originally the Geichsenhof was owned by the von Pfefferbalg family . In 1259 Heinrich Pfefferbalg , depressed by debt, sold the farm to Edelwinus, the ninth abbot of Heilsbronn monastery . For centuries, the monastery ran the farm on its own until it was dissolved in 1578. From 1369 it is reported that the farm had 400 sheep, 6 horses, 5 cows and 3 calves and that it was free of debt.

In the 16-point report of the Oberamt Windsbach from 1608, 1 team is recorded for Geichsenhof, which the Heilsbronn monastery administration office had as landlord . The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste and city bailiff's office in Windsbach . During the Thirty Years' War the farm was burned down in 1636 and the owners were killed. He deserted and fell to the office. It was not until 1657 that two buyers were found (Georg Appold and Hans Geiger) who received the farm with 136 acres of arable land, 14 12 days of meadows, 9 acres of forest for 66 guilders with the obligation to give 4 Simra grains in the first year , then 1 Simra more annually until 10 Simra were achieved. The owners could not comply with this, and finally the farm returned to the rulership in 1669. Seven years later it was sold for 180 guilders.

Towards the end of the 18th century, the Geichsenhof belonged to Aich. The court had the Heilsbronn monastery administrator as the landlord. The high court was exercised by the caste and municipal bailiff's office in Windsbach. Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, the Geichsenhof received the number 28 of Aich when the house numbers were assigned. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the Justice and Chamber Office Windsbach .

As part of the community edict, Geichsenhof was assigned to the Aich tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Aich, founded in 1810 . In the course of the regional reform this was incorporated into Neuendettelsau on January 1, 1972.

Remarks

  • The distance information corresponds to the beeline between the respective geographic objects. They do not give the route .
  • A detailed list of the responsible judicial and administrative authorities can be found in the article of the (former) municipality responsible for the district.
  • The guidelines of the statistical surveys were changed several times during the period shown, which is why the information on population development - number of inhabitants and number of houses - does not count the same depending on the point in time. For more information, see the official regional directories for Bavaria .
