Flexjet was founded as the private charter airline of the Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier Aerospace . In December 2013 Flexjet was sold to the investment firm Directional Aviation .

history

Founded in 1995 and based in Richardson , Texas, USA, the company started out as a supplier of Bombardier aircraft, including some Learjets . In 2006, Flexjet offered the Flexjet 25 Jet Card operated by the US airline Jet Solutions. Flexjet led the Flexjet One program in 2008. In 2010, Flexjet merged with Bombardier's charter brokerage division 'Skyjet' and began charter flights using the Flexjet charter card and on-demand charter brokerage services. They also cooperated with Vista Jet and Korean Air.

Awards

Flexjet has received a number of awards including:

  • Robb Report (Lifestyle Magazine) as "Best of the Best" for flight service.
  • Flexjet Part 145 Repair Stations have won eleven consecutive FAA Diamond Awards for excellent maintenance.
  • Flexjet was awarded the highest possible platinum rating by the Aviation Research Group / US, Inc. (ARG / US).
