Xtra Airways is a US charter - airline based in Coral Gables .
history
Xtra Airways was founded in 1987 under the name Casino Express . Initially, she flew scheduled flights for the Red Lion Hotel and Casino . After Red Lion ceased operations on February 1, 2005, investors took over the airline and converted it into a charter airline. At the same time it was renamed Xtra Airways. In December 2014, the airline was taken over by AerLine Holdings, Inc. In 2015, it relocated from Boise Airport in Idaho to Miami International Airport in Florida to be closer to customers. In 2018, the decision was made to reduce the fleet from eight to one aircraft by May of that year, before the company was subsequently offered for sale by AerLine Holdings, Inc.
Destinations
The company offers charter flights, for example, sports teams, rock bands and deportation flights for the United States Department of Homeland Security on. For the 2016 presidential election in the United States , the company flew two planes for Hillary Clinton's campaign .

As of March 2018, the Xtra Airways fleet consists of five Boeing 737-400s with an average age of 26.0 years; one of the machines is operated for the United States Marshals Service .
