The Football Bayern League 1993/94 was the 16th and at the same time the last season of the Bavarian Football Association 's Bayern League as an amateur league before it was downgraded in the league system. The master of the Bavarian League played similarly to previous years in the promotion round against the champions of the other top leagues for the promotion to the 2. Bundesliga , while the runner-up to participate in the Amateur Championship was justified.

Before the season

The first to preseason from the 2. Bundesliga relegated TSV 1860 Munich had for promotion round 1993 qualifying in which he finally earned the resurgence. TSV Eching , VfL Frohnlach , who had only been promoted from the regional league last year, as well as SpVgg Weiden and 1. SC Bamberg were relegated to the subordinate leagues , while FC Gundelfingen , SpVgg Plattling , VfB Helmbrechts and Wacker Burghausen were promoted to the Bayernliga . The rise of 1860 Munich to the second division was offset by the simultaneous relegation of SpVgg Unterhaching from the second division, so that this season of the Bayern League was carried out with 17 teams.

Season course

The champions, FC Augsburg , missed promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga as the last of relegation group 3 behind TuS Paderborn-Neuhaus , Eintracht Braunschweig and the final climber, Fortuna Düsseldorf . Runner-up SV Lohhof took part in the 1994 amateur championship . Augsburg, Lohhof, the SpVgg Unterhaching , the Bayern Munich amateurs who SpVgg Fürth and the TSV Vestenbergsgreuth qualified to be the best six teams in the last three Bayern league seasons for the Regional League , which for a reform of the DFB from the 1994/95 season after its reintroduction should serve as a four-track substructure for the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga.

The SpVgg Plattling went straight into the division from the SSV Jahn Regensburg was after a victory in the relegation on the SpVgg Weiden keep the class.

    Qualification for the regional league

Six teams were able to qualify for the re-established regional league. The basis for calculating the points was the final placements of the seasons 1991/92, 1992/93 and 1993/94. The first place in a season received 17 points, downwards one point was always deducted, so that the bottom of the table only received one point. Since the SpVgg Unterhaching had played second class in the 1992/93 season, they received double the number of points of a table leader for this season, namely 34.
