Gauchel was a district of the municipality Windeck in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The manorial estate was in a secluded position in a victory loop between Dattenfeld and Schladern . Today the Schöneck house stands a little to the east .

Gauchel was first mentioned in 1582 as Gauchell .

Gauchel belonged to the parish Dattenfeld and the municipality Dattenfeld .

In 1830 the property was already listed. In 1838 the Domanialhof was leased with 46 acres of land. In 1845 the farm had ten inhabitants, in 1888 four.
