The German Darts Masters 2016 was a ranking tournament in darts, which was organized for the fifth time by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from March 26th to 28th, 2016 . It was the second event of the European Darts Tour , which is part of the Pro Tour 2016 . The venue for the second time was the Ballhausforum in Unterschleißheim .

The current defending champion was Michael van Gerwen , who won the tournament again for the second time.

format

The tournament was played in a knockout system . Game mode in all rounds was a best of 11 legs . Each leg was played in double-out mode.

Prize money

The tournament totaled £ 115,000 in prize money. The prize money was distributed among the participants as follows:
