Gutenborn is a municipality in the Burgenland district in Saxony-Anhalt . It belongs to the Droyßiger-Zeitzer Forest Association .
The community was formed on January 1, 2010 from the voluntary merger of the communities Bergisdorf , Droßdorf , Heuckewalde and Schellbach .
The merger takes place against the background of the municipal area reform in Saxony-Anhalt and the minimum number of 1000 inhabitants in municipalities that belong to an association municipality, as stipulated in the accompanying law.

The coat of arms was approved by the district on March 3, 2015.
Blazon : "A red two-bowl fountain standing in gold on a shield base made of 15 black-grooved red bricks, a blue fountain emerging from the riser pipe on both sides, falling from the smaller upper bowl as blue drops."
The coat of arms was designed by the municipal heraldist Jörg Mantzsch . With the chosen symbols of the well (old German name: Born) and the 15 different sized bricks, reference is made to the name of the community and its 15 districts.
The colors of the parish are red - yellow.

The flag is red - yellow (1: 1) striped (cross shape: stripes running horizontally, lengthways shape: stripes running vertically) and centered with the municipal coat of arms.
