The border between Germany and Luxembourg is 137 kilometers in length.

The largest part of the border is formed by the three rivers Our (50 km) in the north, Sauer (42 km) and Moselle (26.5 km) in the south. Only in the area of Vianden an der Our does Luxembourg extend over a length of around seven kilometers to the east of the river system.

In Rhineland-Palatinate , the border is administered by the joint German-Luxembourg territory . Only at Vianden is the otherwise contiguous area interrupted.
