history
A Keppeshusen was mentioned as early as 1463 . In 1615 there were two stock estates in Keppeshausen .
Until the end of the 18th century, the place belonged to the Luxembourgish county of Vianden and the Karlshausen dairy .
In 1794 French revolutionary troops occupied the Austrian Netherlands , to which the Duchy of Luxembourg belonged, and annexed it in October 1795 . Under French administration , the area belonged to the canton of Vianden in the Diekirch arrondissement , which was part of the forests department . Keppeshausen was managed by Mairie Stolzemburg .
Due to the resolutions at the Congress of Vienna in 1815, the former Luxembourg area east of the Sauer and Our was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia . Under the Prussian administration, Keppeshausen came to the Roth mayor's office in the Bitburg district , which was assigned to the Trier administrative district .
After the First World War , the area belonged to the French part of the Allied occupation of the Rhineland . After the Second World War , Keppeshausen became part of the then newly formed state of Rhineland-Palatinate within the French occupation zone .
Today Keppeshausen belongs to the parish Rodershausen , but was part of the Luxembourg parish of Stolzemburg since 1585.
