Ammeldingen bei Neuerburg is a municipality in the Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the community of southern Eifel .

geography

Ammeldingen near Neuerburg is on the edge of the South Eifel nature park . The hamlets of Grimbach and Kleinweis as well as the residential areas Auf Kemigt and Hof Sauerwies also belong to the community .

history

It was first mentioned in a document in 1336. With the occupation of the left bank of the Rhine in 1794 by French revolutionary troops , the place became French, in 1815 it was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia at the Congress of Vienna .
