history

The place name probably comes from the clearing time. Until the annexation by France in 1794, the place belonged to the rule of Neuerburg and here again to the Plascheid dairy . It then became part of the Forests Department under French rule. In 1815 he was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia at the Congress of Vienna . After the First World War temporarily occupied by the French again, the place has been part of the then newly formed state of Rhineland-Palatinate since 1946 .
