The Hokejski klub Olimpija (formerly HD HS Olimpija , HS Toja Olimpija ) is a Slovenian ice hockey club from Ljubljana , which was founded in 2004 as a youth club of the HDD Olimpija Ljubljana and participates in the Alps Hockey League and the Slovenian Ice Hockey League .

HK Olimpija was founded in 2004 as a youth club of HDD Olimpija Ljubljana and started playing with the club's first team in the Slovenian ice hockey league .

In 2009 HK Olimpija was included in the newly founded Slohokej League , the runner-up of which the club won in 2011 and 2012. Since the 2012/13 season, HK Olimpija has been taking part in the Erste Bank Young Stars League , the U20 league and, since 2013/14, in the Erste Bank Juniors League , the EBEL's U18 league .

After HDD Olimpija Ljubljana went bankrupt at the end of the 2016/17 season, HK Olimpija applied for the 2017/18 season of the Alps Hockey League and has been the second Slovenian club to participate there ever since.

In the 2018/19 season , the club took part in the Elite Women's Hockey League with a women's team, which consisted mainly of Slovenian national players, and came in ninth (last) place.
