content

Valentin Haase is a happy commercial artist at the Bensberg chocolate factory. He doesn't smoke or drink, is humble and a rock solid bachelor. For this reason, he received the order from his boss, Director Bensberg, to pick up the daughter of CEO Schöner at the airport and show her to Vienna .

Valentin ca n't find the corporate heiress and millionaire's daughter at the airport , but immediately falls in love with another young lady who is unjustifiably accused of theft, not knowing that she is the one he is looking for. The pretty young lady introduces herself as Babs and claims to be looking for a job.

Valentin keeps finding valuable and expensive luxury items with her, whereupon he thinks that his bride is apparently kleptomaniac . His friend, the hotel detective Gustav Notnagel, only adds to the confusion.

After General Manager Schöner arrived in Vienna and after Valentin and Gustav had to spend a short time in prison, everything was cleared up. Valentin and Babs get married.

criticism

Film observer : "This story of confusion, interspersed with hits, knits with its conventional swaying pattern as well and unimaginatively as the pot holder of a first grader: just simple stitches from top to bottom."

Film-Dienst : "An undemanding comedy between some amusing scenes and a lot of gossip, which thanks to the brisk game is thoroughly entertaining."
