IC 46 is an isolated lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Andromeda in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 243 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 40,000 light years in diameter.

The property was built on December 5, 1893 by Stéphane Javelle .
