IC 66 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sa in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 222 million light years from the Milky Way and about 75,000 light years in diameter . Together with 42 other galaxies, it forms the NGC 315 group .

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 315 , NGC 318 , NGC 338 , IC 69 .

The object was discovered by Guillaume Bigourdan on November 12, 1890 .
