IC 69 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 231 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light years in diameter .
The galaxies NGC 311 , NGC 315 , NGC 338 , IC 66 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Truman Henry Safford on November 8, 1866 .
