IC 60 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type S in the constellation Cetus south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 752 million light years from the Milky Way and about 110,000 light years across .
The galaxies NGC 284 , NGC 285 , NGC 286 , IC 58 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on August 30, 1892 .
