IC 57 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is about 515 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 105,000 light years in diameter .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on December 2, 1893 .
