IC 64 is an elliptical galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type E / S0 with an active galaxy nucleus in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 622 million light years from the Milky Way and about 200,000 light years in diameter .
In the same area of the sky is u. a. the galaxy NGC 326 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on December 5, 1893 .
