Ian White (born August 17, 1970 in Stoke-on-Trent ) is an English darts player .

Career

Ian White first attracted attention in 1997 when he surprisingly reached the final of the News of the World tournament. In 2009 he won three BDO / WDF tournaments, the Antwerp Open, the Denmark Open and the English National Championship. Thereby he qualified for the BDO Darts World Championship 2010. Then he switched to the PDC .

White reached the quarter-finals at the 2014 Darts World Cup , where he had to admit defeat to Simon Whitlock .

In 2019, Ian White made it to the semi-finals of a major tournament for the first time. At the Players Championship Finals , he defeated the Irishman William O'Connor 10: 9 in the quarterfinals .
