International Peace Trip 1970

The 23rd International Peace Tour (Course de la paix) was a cycling race that was held from May 12th to 26th, 1970.

The 23rd edition of this bike race consisted of 15 individual stages and led over a total length of 1976 km from Prague via Warsaw to Berlin . Poland won the team . The Pole Ryszard Szurkowski won the peace drive in 1970 and became the Polish counterpart to Eddy Merckx . The Poles dominated this ride. Part of the route was covered by plane.
