International Peace Trip 1971

The 24th International Peace Tour (Course de la paix) was a cycling race that was held from May 6 to May 21, 1971.

The 24th edition of this bike race consisted of 14 individual stages and led over a total length of 1895 km from Warsaw via Berlin to Prague . The team winner was the USSR . The best climber was Jean Van De Wiele from Belgium . The purple jersey of the most active driver was won by Vladislav Nelyubin from the Soviet Union.

All teams and drivers

A total of 117 drivers from 17 countries started the first stage in Warsaw. Participating nations were Poland , United Kingdom , Switzerland , Czechoslovakia , Algeria , Finland , USSR , Belgium , Denmark , GDR , Bulgaria , Romania , Norway , Italy , Hungary , France and Morocco . All teams competed with seven drivers, only Norway started with just five drivers.
