The 29th International Peace Tour (Course de la paix) was a cycling race that took place from May 8th to 24th, 1976.

The 29th edition of the International Peace Tour consisted of 14 individual stages and led over a total length of 1974 km from Prague via Warsaw to Berlin . The team winner was the USSR . The best climber was Sergei Morozov from the USSR. After eight years, Hans-Joachim Hartnick, another driver from the GDR, won the race.

Teams and drivers

A total of 113 drivers from 19 teams started the first stage in Prague . Participating nations were Poland , Bulgaria , Finland , Czechoslovakia , Romania , United Kingdom , FR Germany , the Netherlands , Sweden , GDR , Switzerland , Italy , France , Norway , USSR , Hungary , Cuba , Belgium and Yugoslavia . All teams started with six drivers, only Cuba started with five.
