The Interstate 205 (abbreviated I-205 ) is an interstate highway in the United States . The I-205 begins in Tualatin , Oregon and ends after 60 kilometers in Salmon Creek , Washington state. It is used as a bypass route to Interstate 5 in the greater Portland area.

From Tualatin the interstate runs east and crosses the Willamette River at West Linn on the Abernethy Bridge . In the south of Portland it meets the US Highway 26 , which leads to Nebraska . I-205 is crossed by Interstate 84 and US Highway 30 about four kilometers north . Interstate 205 crosses the Columbia River with the Glenn L. Jackson Memorial Bridge and reaches Washington State.
