Jake Edward Long (* 9. May 1985 in Lapeer , Michigan ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of offensive tackles . He played with the Miami Dolphins , the St. Louis Rams , the Atlanta Falcons and the Minnesota Vikings in the National Football League (NFL).

Career

Long attended the University of Michigan along with his future teammate Chad Henne . On June 16, 2004, he was smoke inhaled in a fire in his dormitory .

Miami Dolphins

He was signed in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft as the first player by the Miami Dolphins for a five-year contract worth $ 57.75 million , making him the highest-paid offensive tackle in the league. At the Dolphins he played with Chad Henne , with whom he also played in college.

St. Louis Rams

After his contract with the Miami Dolphins expired, he signed with the St. Louis Rams in 2013 .

Atlanta Falcons

After he left the St. Louis Rams after the 2014 season, he was without a contract until the start of the season and signed a contract with the Atlanta Falcons after the 1st day of the 2015 season , where he was to be used as a backup for the young O-Liners.
