Ivan Charles "Tucker" Frederickson (* 12. January 1943 in Hollywood , Florida ) is a former American American football poker players in the position of running backs . He played six seasons for the New York Giants in the National Football League (NFL).

Early years

Frederickson attended South Broward High School near his native Hollywood , Florida . He later went to Auburn University in Alabama . Here he not only played in the running back position, but also as safety . In 1964 he was elected to the All-American team in the safety position .

NFL

In the 1965 NFL Draft , Frederickson was first selected by the New York Giants in the first round . Here he was used exclusively as a running back. In his first year he was elected to the Pro Bowl . He stayed with the Giants until the 1971 season , but then had to give up playing football due to knee problems that he had been struggling with since 1966. In his career he never reached the play-offs with the Giants .

After the career

In 1994, Frederickson was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame .

Private

Frederickson's first wife died of a brain tumor in 1986 . He has been married again since 1989.
