James Francisco

James Lee Francisco (born October 10, 1937 in Lamar , Colorado , † September 1, 2018 ) was an American politician . Between 1991 and 1995 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Kansas .

Career

Nothing is known about James Francisco's youth and schooling. He later worked in the aviation industry and in plastics processing. He also worked as a consultant. Politically, he joined the Democratic Party . Between 1967 and 1973 he was a member of the Kansas House of Representatives ; from 1973 to 1991 he was a member of the State Senate .

In 1990 Francisco was elected Lieutenant Governor of Kansas alongside Joan Finney . He held this office between January 14, 1991 and January 9, 1995. He was Deputy Governor . In 1994 he ran unsuccessfully for governor. After that, he no longer appeared politically.
