Paul V. Dugan

Paul V. Dugan (born January 1, 1939 in Wichita , Kansas ) is an American politician . Between 1979 and 1983 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Kansas.

Career

In 1961 Paul Dugan graduated from Regis University . After a subsequent law degree at Washburn University and his admission to the bar in 1964, he began to work in this profession. At the same time he embarked on a political career as a member of the Democratic Party . Meanwhile, he was the assistant district attorney in Wichita. He also became a member of the Kansas House of Representatives .

In 1978, Dugan was elected Lieutenant Governor of Kansas alongside John W. Carlin . He held this office between January 8, 1979 and January 10, 1983. He was Deputy Governor . Since the end of his time as Lieutenant Governor, he has practiced as a lawyer again. Between 2004 and 2008, he was an advisor to the Turnpike Authority .
