Jason Dickinson (born July 4, 1995 in Georgetown , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League since 2014 .

Career

Jason Dickinson played in the 2010/11 season for the Halton Hurricanes, where he scored 45 goals and 34 assists in 59 games. At the end of the season he was voted 32nd in the OHL Priority Selection 2011 by the Guelph Storm . In his debut season 2011/12 in the Ontario Hockey League , he ran in 63 games for Guelph, in which he collected 13 goals and 22 assists. In the six play-off games against the Plymouth Whalers , he scored a total of three goals and two assists and was elected to the second OHL all-rookie team. In the following season he was able to increase his points count to 47 points and also took part with Canada in the U18 Junior World Championship in Sochi , where he won the gold medal with the team. In the 2013 NHL Entry Draft , he was selected in the first round in 29th place by the Dallas Stars .

In the 2013/14 season Dickinson was the best assists in the Guelph Storm with 52 assists and scored a total of 78 points in 68 missions. In the play-offs he was again among the best-scoring players in his team with 24 scorer points and ultimately won the J. Ross Robertson Cup with them . After the end of the OHL season, Dickinson made his professional debut with the Texas Stars in the American Hockey League (AHL). In the 2015/16 season he was the fourth best scorer of the Texas Stars with 53 points and also made his debut with the Dallas Stars in the National Hockey League in April 2016 . He scored his first NHL goal in his first game.

In the 2018/19 season, Dickinson was on the ice for the first time exclusively in the NHL.
