Johannes Becker (* 1990 or 1991 ) is a professional German poker player .
Poker career
Becker comes from Cologne . He has been participating in renowned live tournaments since 2012 .
Becker was successful for the first time in June 2015 at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and cashed in a tournament of the No Limit Hold'em variant . In mid-October 2015 , he reached the final table at the main event of the World Series of Poker Europe played in Berlin, and for his ninth place he received prize money of 60,000 euros . At the 2017 WSOP , Becker finished second in the Poker Player's Championship behind British Elior Sion , securing his highest prize money to date of more than 850,000 US dollars . A few days later, Becker finished 220th at the WSOP main event for just under $ 50,000. In mid-December 2017 he won the Super High Roller of the partypoker Eurasian Poker Tour in Prague with a prize money of 500,000 euros. In mid-February 2018, Becker also secured the super high roller title for around 320,000 euros at partypoker Millions Germany in Rozvadov . At the 2018 WSOP , he won a mixed triple draw lowball tournament and thus a bracelet and around $ 180,000. At the beginning of February 2019, Becker finished second in the A $ 100,000 Challenge of the Aussie Millions Poker Championship in Melbourne after losing heads-up to Cary Katz and received almost 950,000 Australian dollars .
