The canton of Jaligny-sur-Besbre was a French canton in the arrondissement of Vichy , in the Allier department and in the Auvergne region until 2015 . The canton with the lowest population density in the département comprised twelve municipalities, its main town (French:  chef-lieu ) was Jaligny-sur-Besbre . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. His last representative in the conseil général des Départements was Jean-Paul Cherasse.
