Katrin Kallsberg
Katrin Kallsberg (born July 30, 1967 in Denmark) is a Faroese doctor and politician of the independence striving, socialist party Tjóðveldi .
Life
v moved to Denmark after finishing high school ( studentaprógv ) in Hoydalar to study medicine. After completing her studies, she went to Bosnia in the spring of 1995 , where she worked for Doctors Without Borders in Srebrenica . She then returned to the Faroe Islands and worked there for a few years. In 1999 she moved to Norway , where she began her training as a specialist in gynecology . After graduation, she went back to the Faroe Islands with her family in 2002. Today she works there as a senior physician at the Central Hospital of the Faroe Islands ( Landssjúkrahúsið ) in Tórshavn .
In the parliamentary elections in September 2015 she was elected to Løgting for Tjóðveldi with 396 personal votes . There she is a member of the Welfare Committee, where she also holds the chair, continues to be a member of the Culture Committee and a substitute member of the Legal Committee. Katrin Kallsberg was appointed as the new chairman of the Equal Opportunities Committee on March 1, 2012 by the then Minister for Economic Affairs, Johan Dahl . In addition, she is an active volunteer in the cancer association.
family
Katrin Kallsberg is the daughter of Kaj and Olga Kallsberg. Her husband Poul Henrik Poulsen died in 2005. She lives in Tórshavn with her two children.

1 Annika Olsen was originally elected for Fólkaflokkurin, but left the party shortly after the election and applied for leave of absence on September 20, 2015. Joen Magnus Rasmussen was her representative for one month in October 2015. Annika Olsen was an independent MP until the beginning of February 2016. Since then she has been a member of the Fólkaflokkurin again.
