Rigmor Dam
Rigmor Dam (born December 18, 1971 ) is a Faroese teacher , journalist and social democratic politician . Since 2011 she has been a member of parliament in Løgting, Faro . Since mid-September 2015 she has been Minister for Culture in the Faroese state government .
Political career
In the elections for Løgting at the end of October 2011, she was elected to parliament for the first time as a social democratic member and received 271 personal votes , the fourth-best result within her party. She was a member of the Culture Committee and the Welfare Committee at Løgting, where she also chaired.
In the election on September 1, 2015, she again achieved the fourth-best result within her party with 396 personal votes. In mid-September 2015 she was appointed Minister of Culture in the newly formed Faroese state government under Prime Minister Aksel V. Johannesen .
Kristianna W. Poulsen was the successor for her seat in Løgting .
family
Rigmor Dam is the daughter of Durita Dam and Bergur P. Dam. Former Faroese Prime Minister Peter Mohr Dam is her grandfather and former Prime Minister Atli Dam is her uncle. Rigmor Dam is married to Arnbjørn Ólavsson Dalsgarð and lives in Tórshavn . The couple has three children.

1 Annika Olsen was originally elected for Fólkaflokkurin, but left the party shortly after the election and applied for leave of absence on September 20, 2015. Joen Magnus Rasmussen was her representative for one month in October 2015. Annika Olsen was an independent MP until the beginning of February 2016. Since then she has been a member of the Fólkaflokkurin again.
