The Kehdinger Moore is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipalities of Großenwörden , Engelschoff and Hammah in the combined municipality of Oldendorf-Himmelpforten and in the municipality of Drochtersen in the Stade district .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 311 is about 59  hectares . It is largely identical to the FFH area "Wasserkruger Moor and Willes Heide". The area has been under nature protection since February 17, 2017. The previous nature reserves “ Wasserkruger Moor ” and “ Willes Heide ” have merged into it. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Stade.

The nature reserve, which consists of two sub-areas - the 38-hectare sub-area “Wasserkruger Moor” ( ) and the approx. 21-hectare sub-area “Asselermoor” ( ) - is located northwest of Stade in Kehdingen . It is mainly uncultivated bog rest surfaces of the once sprawling Kehdinger Moores in the transition zone of the Geest to march the same under protection.

The partial area "Wasserkruger Moor" is characterized by a raised moor area that has been heavily drained but only partially peated at the edge . Birch bog forest rich in peat moss with closed stocks of crowberry grows on the raised bog . Moist bell heather settles on aisles and clearings , in some cases near-natural raised bog vegetation with cranberries , rosemary heather, bell heather, Scheidigem cotton grass and bog lily can be found. The moor forest is followed by grassland areas , some of which are used intensively as meadows or pastures .

The surface portion "Asselermoor" is characterized by a space surrounded by Green Forest, one by Entkusselung encloses gehölzarm held bog area. At the inner edge of the forest, moor forest is partially growing. Crowberry heather settles in the area, which is kept sparsely wooded, while bell heather can be found on the edge. The near-natural raised bog remnants within the area, which is kept sparse, consists of two silted-up bog eyes . Here u. a. Round-leaved , medium and long-leaved sundew , cranberries, rosemary heather and moor lily. Moor frogs and adder are native here.

Both areas are surrounded by agricultural land with deep drainage ditches . The remaining moor areas are drained towards the Oste and Elbe.
