Kubilay "Kubi" Türkyılmaz (born March 4, 1967 in Bellinzona ) is a former Turkish - Swiss football player . He played 62 games for the Swiss national football team and scored 34 goals.

Türkyılmaz made his national team debut in February 1988 in a 2-1 defeat by France .

During his career, "Kubi" played for AC Bellinzona , US Semine , Servette FC , FC Bologna , Galatasaray Istanbul , Grasshopper Club Zurich , FC Locarno , FC Lucerne , Brescia Calcio and FC Lugano . He competed in the Champions League with Galatasaray and Grasshopper Club Zurich and also won the championship title with GC .

At the European Championships in 1996 he achieved the 1-1 final score in the opening game against hosts England by means of a hand meter . It was Switzerland's only goal in this final tournament. In his last international match against Luxembourg on September 5, 2001 , Türkyılmaz scored two goals. Today he is look - columnist .
