The large stone graves in the Netherlands (red: preserved graves; gray: destroyed graves) |
The list of large stone graves in the Netherlands includes all known large stone graves in the territory of the Netherlands . 54 graves are still preserved in the provinces of Drente and Groningen , one of which has been converted into a museum. In addition, there are 25 destroyed plants about which reliable information is available. Information on the research history, regional distribution and cultural classification of the graves can be found in the article Megalithic sites in the Netherlands .
In 2017, all large stone graves in the Netherlands were recorded in a 3D atlas using photogrammetry . The data were obtained from the Gratama Foundation through a collaboration between the Province of Drente and the University of Groningen .
