List of current ferries on the East Frisian Islands
The list of ferries on the East Frisian Islands contains the ferries currently serving the islands of Borkum , Juist , Norderney , Baltrum , Langeoog , Spiekeroog and Wangerooge . The East Frisian Islands , which are located between the Wadden Sea and the North Sea, have demonstrably been inhabited by people for centuries and have long been a popular holiday region in East Frisia. Traditionally, ferry ships for the transport of people and goods are the most important connection between the mainland and the island ports. The free ride for disabled is possible on them to all the islands.
Structure of the list
Only the ferries documented in the sources (literature and web links) are included. In addition to a picture of the ship, the list contains the current ship name, the island served by the ferry and its coordinates, as well as the ports that are called on the mainland. Furthermore, information on the type of ship is given, as well as information on the dimensions, passenger capacity and other loading options of the ship. The sortability of the seventh column is based on the passenger capacity of the ferry. Finally, the year of construction of the ferry is also mentioned.
