Aigen was first mentioned as a parish in 1300. The church was rebuilt between 1599 and 1606 for the barons Wolfgang and Georg Andre von Hofkirchen and a crypt with a remarkable late Renaissance tumba made of red marble was added. The choir and the simple nave are essentially Gothic. The exterior has buttresses on profiled bases, divided by a cornice . The pointed arch windows also show remains of Gothic profiling. Flat garments and pressed ends result from the renovation around 1600.

Drösiedl 1
location
KG: Drösiedl
The four-winged, former moated castle of the Renaissance is located in the west of the village on an access avenue . The three-storey, almost square four-wing building stands on a mighty embankment and is surrounded by regular trenches lined with rubble stones. In the western front there is a setback, probably determined by the older core. The arched portal in a rectangular panel with wind holes in the thoroughfare on the south front is marked 1616, probably the year of completion. The structure by adjoining ornamental bands with a double eagle relief on the side and a Luther rose on the passage dates from around 1600 . The north and south sides of the remarkable Renaissance courtyard are divided into segmented arcades. Three portals and a window on the east side are still chamfered in the late Gothic style and are possibly remnants of an older core. In front of the castle is a three-wing, two-story meierhof , which dates back to the construction time of the main building, and on the southern side is a baroque, three- story bulk box from the first half of the 18th century.
