This list includes serious aviation accidents on German territory with more than 20 fatalities. In the case of the aircraft accidents highlighted in blue , the number of victims is controversial or there are different details.

Aviation accidents outside Germany with a high number of German victims
- December 3, 1972: Spantax flight 275 ; a Convair CV-990 had an accident on Tenerife . The 148 killed passengers were mostly tourists from Germany.
- September 10, 1976: Plane collision in Zagreb ; one of the two planes that crashed in Croatia (then Yugoslavia) carried 106 German vacationers.
- February 6, 1996: Birgenair flight 301 ; a Boeing 757 had an accident after taking off from Puerto Plata airport, most of the 189 fatalities were German tourists.
- July 25, 2000: Air France flight 4590 ; 96 German travelers and 13 other people were killed on board the Concorde , which had an accident in Paris on a special flight for the Peter Deilmann shipping company .
- March 24, 2015: Germanwings flight 9525 ; when an Airbus A320 crashes intentionally in France a. 72 Germans perished.
