Attacks on refugees and refugee shelters in 2019 (incomplete)

The list of anti-refugee attacks in Germany 2019 includes attacks and attacks on refugees and refugee shelters in Germany in 2019, in which xenophobic and racist motives are proven or likely. According to information from the German government, there were 609 recorded attacks on refugees in the first six months of the year (including insults, incitement to hatred, arson and dangerous bodily harm). The list below is not yet complete. Particularly serious attacks with injured people are highlighted in red.

Leipzig	SN	02nd March	Refugees	An injured person	A group of eight Germans first insulted an asylum seeker from West Africa in a tram, then the men pushed the 22-year-old off the train and beat him. Lübeck	SH	02nd March	Refugees	An injured person	Two strangers first approached a 27-year-old asylum seeker in Drägerpark and then attacked him with beer bottles. The Syrian was injured in the eye and temple.	No
Querfurt	ST	02nd March	Refugees	An injured person	A group of five to six young Germans first racially insulted a 21-year-old Syrian and then beat him. A 47-year-old who wanted to intervene was pushed back by the perpetrators. He hurt his foot. The 21-year-old did not need treatment. The state security determined.	No
Dresden	SN	08th June	Refugees	An injured person	A stranger insulted a 26-year-old Syrian woman in a racist and Islamophobic manner, then bumped into her, kicked her and ran a shopping trolley over her foot. The unknown man's companion also insulted the 26-year-old.	No
Jena	TH	June 16	Refugees	An injured person	A 36-year-old German pushed an asylum seeker off his bicycle in front of a bus stop and then hit the Eritrean in the face with his fist. The police assume political motivation.	Yes
Penzlin	MV	18th of June	Refugees	An injured person	While leaving his house, a 22-year-old asylum seeker was attacked by two Germans, verbally abused and threatened with death. The asylum seeker from Mauritania initially ignored this verbal attack and fetched his bike, whereupon one of the attackers tried to hit the refugee, who was able to repel the attack by slamming his bike lock chain. The asylum seeker then fled and notified the police. The 34-year-old German had to be treated in hospital. The police are investigating the two Germans for insulting, threatening and inciting people. Pirmasens	RP	0July 6th	Refugees	An injured person	A group of three men attacked two asylum seekers from Ethiopia. The perpetrators hit one of the victims in the face several times, tore his outer clothing and forcibly stole a chain. The three suspects were arrested by the police. Waechtersbach	HE	22nd of July	Refugee	An injured person	A 55-year-old German fired three shots at a 26-year-old passerby from his car for allegedly racist motives. The man from Eritrea was hit in the stomach and had to undergo emergency surgery. It is assumed that the victim and the perpetrator did not know each other. The perpetrator was found dead in his car three hours after his act. The police assume a suicide.	Yes

On a bridge, the perpetrators attacked the 19-year-old Egyptian, beat him, tore his outer clothing, stole a bum bag and threw it from the bridge into a river.	No

Halle (Saale)	ST	21st December	Refugees	2 injured	Five men attacked a group of young people aged 15–17, including three young people from Syria, at the Christmas market. The perpetrators are said to have initially persecuted and racially insulted the young people and later attacked and robbed them. Two 15-year-olds were injured.
