Luigendorf is a district of the city of Neunburg vorm Wald in the Schwandorf district in Bavaria .

Luigendorf is about seven kilometers west of Neunburg vorm Wald on the state road 2151 , which connects Neunburg vorm Wald with the A 93 in Schwarzenfeld .

history

The name Luigendorf (also: Luegendorff) is derived from the settlement of a Luigo or Liubing. In 1696 Luigendorf was first mentioned in a document. Agricultural businesses are grouped around a chapel that was built in 1800 by the farmer Söllner, known as Wagner. This farmer had lost his livestock to anthrax . He had vowed to build a chapel when the illness ended. In 1955 the chapel was renovated and expanded by his successor, Scheuerer.

On March 23, 1913 Luigendorf belonged to the Fuhrn branch of the parish Kemnath near Fuhrn , consisted of 14 houses and had 85 inhabitants.

On December 31, 1990, Luigendorf had 81 inhabitants and belonged to the Fuhrn branch of the parish of Kemnath near Fuhrn.

On a hilltop northwest of Luigendorf are the remains of a medieval moat and rampart, the Ramberg Castle Stables
