The Majlis al-Umma (National Assembly; Arabic مجلس الأمة, DMG Maǧlis al-Umma ) is the parliament in the unicameral system of Kuwait .

65 members of parliament are elected for four years each. The Emir of Kuwait has the right to dissolve parliament and call new elections at any time.

Parliament building

The parliament is located in the capital Kuwait City . It was designed by Jørn Utzon in 1972 and built by his son Jan until 1984.
