The Assembly of Turkmenistan ( Turkmen Türkmenistanyň Mejlisi , Russian Парламент Туркмении ) is the parliament in the political unicameral of Turkmenistan .

125 members of parliament are elected for five years each (since the new constitution of Turkmenistan of 2008). The parliament building is located in the capital, Ashgabat, and was built in 2002.

Parliamentary elections were held on December 19, 2004 and December 14 and 28, 2008. The last election took place on December 15, 2013.

The MPs who are not independent have always belonged to the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan in the Turkmen one-party system .
